What do students say after our 200-hour yoga teacher training in Da Lat?
Duong sits in front of the camera, smiles, and hesitates: “Hello everyone…”
Two students from the 200-hour course. One has just graduated. The other finished a while ago.
They speak Vietnamese, so the lines below are the English subtitles from each clip. I kept their words as they are. I only stuck a few notes in the margin while listening back.
This is how two people felt. It is not a promise that everyone can teach right after the course.

spacious, chill, coolDuong, about the room

Hello everyone. I just graduated from Giang Metta's 200-hour course.
If you are still unsure about where to study, come to Giang Metta for the best experience you can have.
The room is very spacious, relaxed and cool, and the teacher truly cares.
Student 02 · finished a while ago Dung
Oh, I'm so nervous.Dung, take 2
Before these 25 seconds, there were three takes that didn't make it
- Take 1 ✕“The studio is… what's the word?” Then she asks to start again.
- Take 2 ✕“Oh, I'm so nervous.”
- Take 3 ✕One sentence in, her mind goes blank: “Help!”
- Take 4 ✓All the way through, in one go. That's enough.
Interviewer: Please share a few thoughts. First, the studio.
The studio is relaxed, close to the town centre and very spacious. All in all, it is beautiful.
Interviewer: Second, the teacher.
I find the teacher very dedicated, and very knowledgeable, and after one course, I feel confident to go and teach.
Two people, the same words
Listening to the two clips back to back, I noticed something. They praised the same few things.
- Only Duong said:
- cool
- truly cares
- Both said:
- chill
- spacious
- Only Dung said:
- near the centre
- dedicated
Your turn to ask
Kind words only tell you the room felt good. If one of these three questions is still on your mind, tap it and see for yourself.
Last word
Two clips, less than a minute. Enough to hear how two people remember the room. Not enough to tell you about 200 hours.
200 hours is getting it wrong and fixing it. Lesson plans written, and written again. Standing in front of a class for the first time, voice still shaking.
Want to hear from someone who trained in English? Read Emma's review. Want the details? Here is the course in Da Lat. And if something is still on your mind, just ask me.
Nervous is okay.
